Lecture 3: Processes & Terms in Bioremediation
Now the basics have been covered, the biological process to break down the contaminants is explained. You will learn a few of the complexities of bioremediation; the common pollutants & which microorganisms (MOs) are required to break these compounds down, how some contaminants are particularly hard to remove, and how in many cases specific microorganisms or nutrients can be added to help the degradation process.
